Even though it has not been formally inaugurated, the first step to establish UNIDHA Research Park and Edu-Tourism facilities has been set up. The first milestone is put by the Pharmacy Department by planting herbs on UNIDHA’s land asset in Limau Manis, Padang. The plants are intended as research materials in accordance with the vision of this department to transform traditional herbs into high economic value pharmaceutical products.
The future development of Research Park and Edu-Tourism facilities will be gradually executed through the coming year. After the construction is completed, it will be able to accommodate various scientific activities in UNIDHA such as agricultural industrial technology and engineering. This masterplan is expected to positively enrich the learning process for all students and contribute as innovative education prototype among higher education institutions in West Sumatra.
